Mesa Mark Help

I'm looking to invest in a mark because I want to move away from my recto tone. I'm looking to place a bid for a Mark III on craigslist, but I don't know much about the Mark series and am wondering if anyone can give me the tonal functions and differences between the mark III and the mark IV or V. Any helpful comments are greatly appreciated

my best advice to you would be to go on mesa's site and read the three manuals.

Youtube also is a good place to look. If you're doing it because you 'think you might like it', it's worth checking out some other Boogs like the Lone Star series or even something from the 80's, might satisfy your lust also.
