Mesa has added new clips of the V, much like the TA30, RA100

Overall I'm impressed. Normally Mesa's clips tend to be kind of sub-par, but there's a couple of settings I've copied and messed about with that I'm going to hold on to.

Screaming, you are in Canada, eh? I'm curious, who are you rooting for tomorrow? I am assuming you like hockey, but from what I've read, it seems like a safe assumption to make. If you don't watch hockey, well, nevermind!

By my handle alone, I think it is clear who I'm rooting for.

Also, how are you liking your Mark compared to the Roadster? Is either amp gaining more favor with you?

These are very nice sounding clips! I know what you are saying Screaming, Mesa's clips are definitely mostly subpar. I think their best demo guy is Marcus Daniel. He did a good job giving viewers an idea of what the Electra Dyne and the Dual Rectifier (older and newer) amps could do. The Mark V video, while entertaining, I thought wasn't so great. The Roadster video was the worst!

I'm kind of indifferent. I'm from outside Toronto. I'm not a Bruins fan, but the Bruins are part of the Eastern Conference and as such I feel more of a connection with them than I do with a team from the west coast.

However, I am a Canadian and it would be nice to see Lord Stanley's Cup return home this year.... I just don't give a **** about the Canucks.

I flip back and forth between the Recto and the Mark V. I like both for various reasons. I'll go through periods of time where one amp is my favourite for a month or so, then it'll do something that'll piss me off and I'll switch amps for another month or so.

In a lot of their clips it sounds like they're purposely trying to make their amps sound bad.... ie, jacking the gain and sucking all the midrange out of them.

I like these ones because they're not attempting to explain all the features that are already explained in the product text on their website. They go straight into meat and potato sound clips with graphic representations of the settings.

You are so right about them killing the midrange in their videos. The Roadster clips with John Rinkor are the worst by far! He completely had the mids set so low. Plus, his usage of the Tweed mode was just awful. I'm surprised he didn't show more of a soft clip approach for that mode. Instead, he just cranked the gain!

Still a bit further down on the site there are the Petrucci setting vids-->which are far better in lamost every single respect. As Mesa can use Andy Timmons for an other amp, they seem to do the mark V not the same care.
