Hi guys!
Here's a demo I did for an italian forum, I thought it could be useful even here, why not?
If you have any question, let me know!

Gear Used:
- Fender Fat Stratocaster USA American Traditional
- Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier 3ch
- Marshall 1935 Bass Cab, w/Blackbacks (year 1977)
- Boss Chorus & Delay pedals in the loop in some riffs

;)

ehi ciao, welcome to the board! I think I was the first to write a comment to your video on YouTube! As said, good work.

Here's me covering Vicarious by Tool with my Mesa Dual Recto and a Schecter Synyster Custom:

Hi Steve, I'm Italian too and I have a Triple, too! Can you tell me what are your settings on the Rectifier? I have a 4x12 Marshall (the classic 1960a), and a Stratocaster with the SuperDistorsion. I really like your tone!!!

After picking up my DSL 50 and rediscovering some classic Marshall tones (VH, Rage Against the Machine, Metallica, and Clutch) I kind of miss the rectifier for those Tool tones. I know he's using Diezel now, but would love to composite my DSL against a SR to get those older Tool tones.

That 1935 is adding a nice edge to the head. I like Marshall heads paired w/ Mesa Cabs but usually not the other way around.

Great clip, what pups are in the Schecter? JB?

Thanks!
The pickups are Duncan Custom Invaders, they come stock with the Syn Custom guitar.
In studio he's using:
- Mesa Dual Recto
- Marshall Plexi Bass (with the same cab as mine)
- Diezel VH4
- Bogner Ubershall
All together, mixed up to create that huge sound!
It's almost impossible to recreate that sound at home ut you know, with the Dual and the Marshall cab I think that's pretty close to the original ;)

Well my settings are always the same, I'm not too much far from the "noon" (flat) setting, only the gain is at 7/10. When I play with the band and the volume starts to grow up I usually cut a bit of gain too.
Anyway it depends on which guitar, cab, plugs, etc etc you're using ;)

That's some great playing and tone man. I played a Syn Custom at a local Guitar Center not too long ago. I like it a lot, gotta love those pimp stripes. Good stuff man, Rock on!

Thank you very much!!

Yes, the Syn Custom is a really good guitar, and it works perfectly with my Dual Recto. I think they really are in Love with each other ahah  :D

My Dual Recto has just come back home, she's been at the LAA Custom (Turin, Italy) for un upgrade.
Here's the result:

Sorry for the recording quality... from the start to the solo you will hear 2 tracks (1 right and 1 left) from the solo till the end only one (centre).
Let me know what you think ;)
