hey,

I was thinking that my amp setup is pretty simple. A couple pedals, a distorted tone and a clean tone. What would you guys think of a sort of mechanical link that would allow you to step on one switch that would trip two or three stomp boxes at the same time. So for example a lead tone of a delay pedal and a clean tone with chorus. A simple device could bridge the pair that will engage together so no tap dance. so put the mesa one button Lead/rhythm pedal in the middle of the chorus and delay pedals. then a semi rigid (huhuhu you said semi) bar to connect. I imagine it can involve more pedals, but i have shown a simple example. this could allow "presets" without spending for a gcx, gizmo etc... and a foot controller. Obviously with much more complicated rigs, this is not so great, but for the simple stupid rigs... does this already exist?

There are all sorts of switching systems out there...if you didn't feel like building your own...

Voodoo Labs Pedal Switcher: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/PedalSwitcher/

Morley A/B/Y/Mix: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ABYMix/

RJM Mini Effect Gizmo: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/MiniEffectGz/

Rivera Guitar Effects Switching System: http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Rivera-RM1-Guitar-Effects-Switching-System?sku=481685

Again, it might be fun to build your own, but one of these systems will probably do what you want, too.

hey thanks, yes I have seen all of those, but I'm talking about building something with no electrical parts. A kind of stone age technology mechanical switcher, that would be good with 3 or 4 pedals.
