Hi All,

I purchased a brand new Mesa Boogie Mark V from my local L&M store in Burlington Canada and I love it but I am having an issue with my Hardware HT-6 polychromatic tuner. The tuner is acting crazy and I cannot tune my guitar at all. I am hitting the mute button to activate the tuner right? Do I have to do something else? To me it seems that output is just too hot but that's my guess and I have also read some posts saying that as well. If the output issue is a real issue is there any tuners that I can use that will work with the amp?

thanks in advance

Virgin post here :) . From my personal experience, you have to get a clean tone in order to make the tuner output function work properly, preferably using the clean mode or the fat mode where the gain is low and the tone is not distorted. Also, if you use a high output pickup, turn the knob on your guitar to lower the output. My tuner also acts crazy when using high gain lol.

Btw, it seems like you don't need to hit the mute button to activate the tuner output function. It's on as long as you plug in your tuner. I really wish the tuner output function can be more sensitive and accurate as it is quite inconvenient to switch between channels just for tuning.

The tuner output is hotter than many tuners like to deal with-it actually killed my Korg rack tuner! I don't even bother using it anymore, I just run the tuner between the guitar and amp input.

Hi I agree with your comment Steve, it's pretty hot... I decided to insert my HT-6 poluchromatic tuner with my chorus and delay effects pedals instead. I still haven't tried though using the tuner output and trying to tune my guitar on channel#1 maybe that will work.
