Hey! How goes it?

I have a mark V with the serial number ending in 330. On the back of the amp where the wings are listing the warnings, there is this inscription

The ending sentence states:
"Do not expose this unit to rain, moisture, or thieves"

I have not seen this mesa boogie "humor" on any other mark Vs. Someone said that they thought that it was only on the first 500 produced as a promotional thing.

Does yours have this? If so what is the serial number? Let's figure this out.

Thanks!

My old 90s Recto doesn't have the 'or thieves' part.

Both my Mk V and LSS have it.

What is your mark V's serial number? So far those under five hundred have it.

Nope, but my serial number is in the 2500's. Just a warning about keeping it out of mist and moisture.

ok. I think that we are seeing a pattern here. So far the few mentioned under the 500 mark have it.

My old Rect-O-Verb had that. I don't know the serial number but it was a Series II. I cracked up the first time I read that.

My Express 2:25 has the thieves warning; serial number 2205... My Mark V doesn't, and it's serial number is 16xx (not being secretive, just don't remember exactly  )
