I will be picking up a Mark IV head in a couple of weekends.

Do they work better through an open back, 3/4 closed back or my 2 x 12 Recto cab.

Thanks in advance for any advise!!!

I've got a IV Head and a Recto 2x12, it's perfect for my needs !!!
The sound is fat and smooth, awesome !!!

Mine sounds great thru everything I've tried. My current favorite cabs for the Mk IV is a pair of closed back 4-10's.

i have an old school half back mesa cabinet on my mark iv anyone else have one? i think it sounds great but ive never plugged it into another cab i would like to try a rectifier cab

Mines a widebody combo. I have plugged it in to a Marshall 1922 2x12 and it sounded good. I still liked it better with the combo speaker. So if I had a head I'd probably be thinking about a 2x12 open back or half back cab.

Saw Walter Trout the other night, and he had his Mark IV
singing through a 4x12
