Mark III Tube question

Hello,

First post - Sorry if it's a stupid question!

I would like to retube my amp (currently using 6L6's), and I'm thinking of retubing it with either KT66's, or KT88's, if that's possible.

Has anyone on the board done this? Is it possible? Are those tubes a replacement for 6L6 operates amps?

Any suggestions for pre-amp tubes?

Hi JP,

I don't know about the KTs, but there was a discussion of preamp tubes for the MKIIIs not too long ago. I made some improvements, myself. Check out the archives.
