trying to understand what kind of transformers were used on the MKIII series on X (Export) models ? it seems to me that the earlier ones (at least up to red stripe) came with the MKII style red plate on back, which allows to switch between voltages. on the later ones (at least green stripe) the voltage seems to be hardwired internally with no such plate ? when did that change and does that mean there are different transformers used f.e. on a green stripe depending on US or Export ?

The MK III exports were a smaller Schumaker with it's own part number.
Unlike the X105, most of these were hardwired for exports. I did see one X105
on an early MKIII, but that's about all. The later green stripes may even use a 561137
as well as early MK IV's and Dual Rectifier Exports.
