Mark III reverb not working

So after a few months of owning this amp, I decided to check out the verb. Much to my amazement, there does not appear to be any. The tank is there at the bottom of the combo, wrapped in some sort of cover. The amp even has the reverb mod, but I'm getting nothing.

I tried reseating the gray reverb cable. I even tried changing the V4 tube (wasn't sure which one, but guessed at the one closest to where the gray cable connects to the chassis), and I'm getting nothing.

Any ideas?


Also, is the phase splitter the tube closest to the power tubes?

Do you have the reverb footswitch ?

I don't. What were you thinking? Maybe the circuit is switched out? I would imagine it would default to being completed when no footswitch is connected, but I'm assuming.
