Mark III Problem-Distorted clean channel-Help!

I just bought a Mark III and after plugging in the power tubes I am finding that this thing sounds horrible! The problem is that it is distorting when barely on while playing through the clean channel. I am running this with the Rythm Vol turned to 2-3 and the Master turned up. Any ideas? I am thinking there must be a bad tube somewhere (probably damaged in transit) but not sure where to start.

Start by pulling your preamp tubes one at a time. I bet you've got a cracked one. Same thing happened to my brand new Road King II.

Turns out that the problem is the speaker in one of the Thiele cabs. It is an OEM EVM 12L and it has the same problem with my IIC+ as it does with the III.

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN SELLING THE CAB OR ARE YOU GONNA FIX IT?

I will just put another speaker in it. These Hardwood cabs are hard to find!
