Hi, i'm new here! great forum!

I need to know mark III red stripe eq specs (how much db's does it cut/rise, etc.) becouse i got one with out eq and i want to "emulate" it. Im using a GE-7 in the fx loop and sounds quite cool but it would be very usefull to know the original specs like the db cut/rise.

The boss ge-7 specs are: 100 - 200 - 400 - 800 - 1600 - 3200 - 6400 hz with +-15 db range.

thank you!!!!!

Even two identical red stripe Mark IIIs with GEQ, put side-by-side, set up identically wouldn't sound the same, so to get them to sound the same (with your ears), the knobs would be in different places, dig?
Just put the GE-7 in the loop and EQ with your ears. The center frequencies and boost capabilities are different, and actually more flexible than the factory GEQ (more frequency bands, more boost and cut).
Hope this helps :D

thnx a lot!!!!

the only thing i want to know is how much the original mark EQ cut/rise... +-5db's? +-10db's? just to have an idea of how to set the GE-7

Of course, you should write down your favorite settings so you can recall them later. If you look at old photos of Metallica or Petrucci or other pro's rigs, they're covered with masking tape with Marker Marker notations of their settings and knob positions. I think they do it just to confuse and confound the rest of us.
