Mark III red stripe (no GEQ) with boss pq-50

Hello! First time poster, longtime lurker here!
I have a offer for price 1500$ to buy mark III red evm12l (i think it's good speaker but mostly i play thru loadbox and ir) two 6l6 no geq version with boss pq-50 parametric eq for fx loop.
I just want to know is that a steal good price for this amp and rack device combination?
Cause I don't have the opportunity to listen this setup i ask you does boss pq-50 nearly as good as stock geq or as presonus eq3b for tone shaping?
