I have had the R2 volume mod done on my 60w MK III black dot combo about 6 mos. ago. This is my maing gigging amp - JBL D120 in it and another one below in a MB thiele cab. It has really made the amp a lot more user friendly and tube friendly. No more fiddling with different tubes to get the channel volumes & gains where I like them. I had my tech put a stacked pot in the PRESENCE pot hole in the back and use the second pot for the R2 volume. The only time I adjust it is (A) tube changes and (B) using single coils vs. humbuckers. I highly recommend it.
