I just picked up a nice NOS Mullard 12Ax7 and a nice NOS GE 12Ax7 and a RCA 12At7. I got these from a TGP member 59Vampire. I have to say, I bought the Mullard only and he forgot to ship it for a week. When I e-mailed him, he felt terrible and included the other two for free. Great guy.
So here's my question:
I'm putting them in my Mesa Boogie Mk1. Where would you put the Mullard for best response? Here's the chassis:
Unfortunately, I'm not able to play it yet, but would like to have it ready to go for my cast removal in 3 weeks. I was involved in a motorcycle accident and fractured 3 vertebrae and broke my fretting hand.
Besides the Mullard, I know the reverb needs the 12AT7 and I'll just replace one of the other AX7's.
Any thoughts are appreciated.
