The main purpose I bought Dual Rectifier is to get the extreme metal tone out of it. Of course as a newcomer I was amazed by anything set to modern and had no problem with it. After listening to some recordings on which the Rectifiers had been used I grew curious about achieving the similar tone.
What interesting thing I have found is that Orange channel sounds a bit more fuzzy and 90s-like than the Red one. Third channel will be definetely for fans of Cannibal Corpse's latest releases, but to achieve this fat and distorted "Obituarish" tone you've got to boost your Orange channel with some overdrive and voilla (even though they played on Marshalls).
The thing that annoys me is that since it's a tube amp the sound gets brighter with every turn of the volume knob. I'd like to maintain that kind of meaty tone, but also have a chance to blast it in the rehearsal room.
Should I lower the Master and turn up the Output or something like that?
