I know its a bit early to post one of these threads but to those who have played the express, which, not taking price range into account, do you like better tone wise?

JAZZGEAR said:No Disrespect Enigma, I have a different take on the Express 5:25 -- it is not in the same league as the LSS...not even close.
I own the LSS and have played the 5:25 . The cleans are superior in the LSS. And the leads are voiced differently in both amps.....the LSS is not intended to be high-gain. The 5:25, on the other hand, is.
I went out today to test drive the 5:25 and was quite dissaponted with it -- at least in the 1x10 format. This would definitely be an amp that if I purchased, would be in the head form factor and use with a cab. IMHO the 1x10 sounds too boxy.
The 5:50, is a different story altogether, Wow! is all I can say.

BIG L said:How about a comparison of tones between the LSS and the 5:50? Which one would be a better buy? I like warmer thicker tones as well as a sweet lead tone with heaps of sustain. I play a PRS McCarty almost exclusively on the humbucking neck pickup but occaisionally step up to the bridge pickup when soloing. Thanks.
