Lonestar Classic effects loop - serial or parallel?

In the manual it has the word "series" next to the description, but the level adjust seems just like an older Mesa I had that was parallel. Which is it?

I also read a ton on effects especially delay today. Seems like quite a few set their send level at 12:00. I tried that setting this afternoon with my Eventide time factor and it sounded pretty sweet. Just curious what levels and delays different people are using?

Mesa series loops typically have an FX loop send knob.

Mesa parallel loops typically have an FX loop send knob and a wet/dry mix knob.
