Lone star 50 watt/100 watt setting and valves/tubes

Hi there
Just a quick question about my new Lone Star - if I run it exclusively on the 50 watt settings for each channel, which uses only two of the valves (I'm from Ye Olde England), can I safely remove the inner two that aren't being used?

I presume not, but I just wanted to check the collective wisdom of the forum.

Because I've got a matched pair of NOS 6L6GE that I've been saving up for a special amp...I haven't got the quads

Yes, you can remove them. Just make sure you never put it to 100w without those tubes being in.
