my quad or power amp causing low fuzz noise when im playing on the clean channel, this fuzz is only noticible while im playing. Like theres a little elf in my cabinet jamming along with me. Problem is, i think hes better than me..
Any suggestions??

Ive had this quad about six years, changed the tubes a couple years ago. it has always peformed like a dream amp

Maybe it's not the Quad, it's the cab's speakers that came loose a little. I'd check that first. :)

it may not be an elf, it could be an orc,or goblin, or maybe your dungeon master trying to break out. if you have your wizard cast a spell on it, all should be good.

It's not an elf or a goblin guys, it's a gremlin. So if he does jump out just remember, don't feed him after midnight and don't get him wet. Good Luck!!!

I do agree with checking the speakers first though. Mine actually did something similar recently, except it was a blown speaker.

Good news guys... theres no elf. however, i did wanna see what kind of guitar he was playing :(

I took the back off my cabs and more than three quarters of the screws were loose on my celestians, but i still dont know if thats the problem cause i just got two new awsome speaker cables in the mail today and i wanted to wait. So ill be checking that now.
****, i hope its not a blown speaker
Ill keep you posted

good call Jackie, no more fuzz, no more elf, and no more sleepless nights
Thanks, Now i guess i should go in and check my tubes.
**** maintenence

Aww yes, maintenance. Makes me think about those days running solid state, so much less to have to mess with. But then I think about the tone and I get nauseous. Definitely worth the extra work.

he he, yeah I started with a laney back in the 80's, no maintenance there, just the matter of kicking it off the stage.
