Eh, my big green pig just came in the other day -- here she is:
I love this amp, it has such a big, warm, spacious sound. I usually fight with amps to get the treble where it isn't shrill, and to get enough bass for my satisfaction -- not so with this one. Over the weekend, my friend and I tried it out with his 50's-style Telecaster (which sounds amazing with it, btw), and we dimed the treble and presence on channel 1 and used the bridge pickup, just to see how bright it could get. Surprisingly, it wasn't even unusably bright set like that. Bright, but not piercing. It even sounded good with an Epiphone Les Paul copy I have that has really crappy high-output humbuckers in it and sounds terrible with most amps.

Congrats on the amp! I like your Silo Spec as well! How's the bridge SC sounding through the amp?

That's actually a regular Silo with the pickups swapped for the Seymour Duncan set normally used in the Albert Lee model. The bridge pickup sounds pretty good, quite a lot like a Telecaster bridge, though the low end drops out a little compared to the other settings. I'm more of a neck and middle pickup kind of guy, but I've been using the bridge a bit since I got the new amp -- it's usable with this one, where it tends to not have enough low end with my others.

You get the picture after lugging one of these thangs up and down a basement stairs or up a back staircase of a club a few times. Playing through a Mesa combo builds strong bodies in many ways!
The tone is so worth it though.

I used to be a neck and middle pickup player exclusively, then I did a pickup swap with a Rio Grande bridge I started using the bridge maybe 20% of the time. However, with my LS I tend to play 80-90% of the time on the bridge. It is just such a fat, meaty sound and I don't get the spiky shrillness I always tended to get with other amps. I actually dial in a lot more treble on the LS and still get a great sound. It has probably changed the way I play as well.

That's a pretty clean looking rig there, SonOfIAm. And you have a custom pre-10 watt LSC... very nice.
