My Quad Lead 1 channel has been flakey for a while: sometimes it goes quiet and brittle sounding after a few minutes of playing- sometimes it disappears completely only to return a few minutes later sounding just fine. Tried changing the V23 tube:- no difference.
Last night (mid-gig) it gave up completely. Good job I have 4 channels to play with!
I've found a few posts talking about capacitor/LDR replacement for this kind of problem but not really specific about where; just wondering if there is anyone out there who may be able to point me in the right direction before I start throwing new parts at my Quad...
