ok, NOW I get it!!!

I've dialed in that Recto "feel" that RSmith writes about in his manuals and pamphlets...

it's that awesome elastic, chewy, string to string thing that seems to add inertia to whatever you're playing... single note lines, chords etc... it keeps sucking you in to more and more playing;
the IIC+ does this in its own way, but it's different; the Recto has this fuller spectrum thing going on

I'm also blown away with how killer single note riffing is on this thing!!!

I've had a T'verb before, but seem to be finding my own on the Roadster a little easier...

oh yeah!!!

ive found the exact opposite to be the case..ive had it a few weeks and im starting to hate it ansd not want to switch it on....vintage 30s dont help....i came to the conclusion today that i hate them speakers.

The heads just not doin it for me...ithought id hav any tone i want from it and 3 channels

i got a maxon od808....helped a little.

ive posted a few threads on this

i think its just not for me...it colours the tone too much

im approaching the selling stage already...i have tried a lot of settings but...cant get close to any i like

for chords it gets close but....single notes its bad....i played it for the 1st time loud at a prac and it sounded terrible.....lower volume i can get it a bit better

maybe its too much of a change from the orange rocker a class head im used to. diff kettle of fish i guess

i thought i wanted a mesa when i had an orange..now i sold my cab for the orange and am going back to the orange already....after i get another cab made for it

i will think it over a little but i think a swap for a R8 les paul sounds nice

i got close to a good thin lizzy live and dangerous tone but it wont clean up enough to be warm and feely for the bluesy type style i like

I 'll post settings later, but ch3 is vintage gain with more mids, presence dialed back, 50W tube rectified; ch4 modern, mids dialed back, gain 1130?!? diodes, 100watts

speakers: THD 2x12 w/ THD Vintage spks AND MB 2x12 3/4 w/ C90s

I actually am not really fond of the THD cab with ch's 3 and 4, but it's GREAT with ch's 1 and 2;
I might swap spks around though...

I haven't even bothered to hook up the Mesa 2x12 vertical recty cab w/ V30s

PRS McCarty, stock pu's, no boost... yet!

the C90s sound great with this amp. In fact, probably a better all around match than the V30s, but we'll see... I was really impressed with how well the T'verb combo sounded with V30s.
