The Mark V most certainly has a 6L6/EL34 bias switch.

**Note** The JJ E34L's are not available for the Mark V as they are for other Mesa kits because the fixed bias point on the Mark V is hotter than other Mesa Mark amps.

They probably could select E34L that runs fine in the MkV, but it will be different form other matched duet/quartet selected for Mesa amp, so maybe too much work for the benefits ?
I run a EH EL34 quad in my MkV, but I'd have to order the colder avaible set for the inner sockets, a "classic" Mesa-selected one run very hot there (60mA per tube...).
So a "36mA" selected for outer sockets and "28mA" for inner ones.
