I've been busy over the last year, things change

Let me see, I bought a vintage Fender 1966 Fender Deluxe Reverb, sold off my Two Rock Jet, My Mesa Boogie Mark V, and I just picked up a used Mesa Express 5 50 2-12 combo last week.

I have not been on this forum since September 2011 I think, so forgive me if I ask all you express owners out there a question or two. Right now I am crazy busy at work so time is limited.

1.) Who has tryed to run 6v6 tubes in the power section of an express?
2.) What is Mesa's view on this? Can you do this or will you harm your amp?

I would be interested to see if I can go with a set of 6v6's

I'm interested as well. I've heard of people using JJ 6V6s in 6L6 amps, but I don't know how safe it is.

The 5:50 would be a ridiculously versatile amp if you had the option to use big or small bottles.
