Is this a Buginga or an Imbuya IIC+?

I thought it was Bubinga, but I've seen picture of the Imbuya Cabs that look similar.
Thanks

LOOKS LIKE FLAMED IMBUYA.
"Flamed" like the movie "BrokeBack Mountain" or "Flamed" like in figured grain exotic wood

I have a Mark IV I believe is Imbuya and it looks very much like Walnut. This Cabinet looks similar in color but the figure is definately different. What would a Bubinga look like? Anyone have a good picture of it? The Samples at the Mesa site don't help much.
Thanks

Natalie Imbruglia?

You need a close up image.

It looks like Walnut, Bubinga or Imbuya.

How do you imbed the photo in your reply? The pictures I have acually show the wood pretty well, but photobucket really cut down the size and detail. If I can imbed it, I have better picutres of the grain

Upload it onto www.imageshack.us

Then after it is uploaded, copy the "direct link" and post a reply. On the reply page, click the box that says "Img", paste in the link, then hit the button again. Repeat for as many pictures as you have.

Here's the IIC+

Here's the Mark IV which I assume is Imbuya, right?

Appreciate any opinions Guys, Thank

This is an intriguing thread. When I was looking at the pics you first posted, I was leaning more towards a very high grade imbuya that had aged to be a bit darker than normal. Looking at the higher res/bigger pics, I would now cast my vote in the bubinga camp. Either way, it's stunning. It's very cool the way it has sort of a cross between a flamed and quilted look. Gorgeous amp.

I wonder if Mesa would know. Maybe call and ask them to answer your question based on the serial #?

I think you intution is right, it looks Bubinga.

I'm familiar with exoticwoods and sometimes you could "fake" a color of wood by adding a toner. But it looks Bubinga to me.

I agree, after further review I think it's Bubinga.
Gosh reminds me, NFL season is around the corner  But I hate ref reviewing plays that doesn't benefit my team.
