Is there any rhyme or reason for the Serial Numbering?

Is there a schema that Mesa uses when serializing their amps..

I've seen posts here that seem to show that, for example a Recto with a R 033333 - it is the 33,333rd Rectifier made?

How can you determine build date from the serial number?

THanks.

1: No I don't think so
2: I do believe so, I don't know if they started over with teh 3 channel Duals and Triples though, and i don't know if the single, dual, and triples have different sets of numbers, i think they all come from the same batch.
3: You can't, the build date's on the inside of the chassis.

**Someone please correct me if i'm wrong in any or all of these areas haha**
