Is the current dual rectifier considered a simul class amp design? What color codes on the EL34's work best in the current dual rectifier?

I would agree with wildchwein. Most if not all Rectos are Class A/B power. There is only one that can run both EL34 and 6L6 tubes at the same time and it is still a Class A/B design. RoadKing. Simul-Class is a Mark amp thing.

If we are talking about the MWDR, not many options for EL34 tubes. I have tried the STR447 greens. It was ok. Also you need to keep the amp set to run the tube rectifiers due to plate and screen voltages may be too excessive for the skinny tubes. What power tubes do you have in the amp right now? Just curious as mine came equipped with the STR440 and have no need to replace them yet. I have tried to buy the STR445, they are on back order like everything else.

I would love if Simulclass Recto was a thing! Being an owner/fan of Rectos and Mark's. Typically, the majority likes either or but not both. However, I like them both because they are that different. Owning one of each gives you such a wide array of tones no other amp can offer.

A Simul-Class Rectifier would be interesting, but wouldn’t sound as huge as an A/B output.

There is such a thing DIY and for a bonus it is stereo at 90W each side or the power of a non-diluted / non-simul coliseum (180W) with simul:
Recto pre --> 2:90

Alternatively for the opposite and 200W power:
Mark pre --> 2:100

The only "recti" I have atm are class A EL84 and 6V6 variants so I can't try option 1 despite having a few of the above mentioned racks.

I suspect that the new Mark VII mode is as close to simul-class recto as we're going to get!

Petrucci used to play Marks into Recto power sections. You could always get a Studio/Quad/Triaxis and fire it into a Recto 2:100
