I have a Lonestar Special that I thought was my dream amp. When I finally got a hold of one, and played a few gigs, I realized that I don't use most of the cool features. I play straight ahead rock and absolutely love the LSS's overdrive, but I don't want all the extra features and extra weight. Is there a Mesa Boogie out there that does what the LSS does but stripped down, and is the DC-3 it?

Thanks!

My Maverick 1x12!
I'm gonna have to sell it to fund a move to Hawaii.

I've done a few things to it.....
Upgraded Output Transformer - Now sounds very open and articulate
Upgraded Tone Stack Capacitors in both channels - This got rid of the mud and now the amp just sings! I used Orange Drop and Silver Mica caps. The originals were cheap Xicons and ceramic disk.

Comes with either of these speakers:
Vintage 30, 8 ohm, sounds like ZZ Top
Celestion MC-90, 8 ohm, very warm and huge sounding like your LSS

Let me know if you're interested. I haven't posted it in the Classifieds yet.
It weighs in at about 45 pounds and is slightly smaller than an LSS 1x12.
