Yes, but you will be down on power a bit

I find it cuts a little treble off the top and compresses more with less headroom. Makes for a usefull sound. You may even like it.

What a coincidence, I tried this just tonight with my Studio Series (Studio 22)...I didn't notice much difference in the sound, but I did notice that the amp didn't blow up, so I guess it's OK!
