The original boogie footswitch I have for my IIC+ is giving me problems. The issue is a delay between when
you press on the footswitch and when it actually switches channels. I'll be playing in the clean channel, step on the switch and it takes a second or two before it switches over. It also seems to lose volume or even signal while it is switching.

Anyone else experience this problem?
The footswitch is old, will a new one cure this?

thanks guys

It is likely the problem is internal to the amp and not the ft switch box itself. To find out: unplug the ft switch and see if you experience the same delay/dropout when you pull the knob on the amp to switch channels. If you get the same syptoms you may have LDR's (light dependant resistor) on their way out. A repair best left to a qualified mesa tech.
