I reckon I got about £5000 guitar and amps, then there's the PA system which I own, which is another £2500 (USD about $11000 for everything)

My ex wife made me sell my only guitar, a Fender Sambora Strat to pay off debts many years ago. When we split I went credit card nuts and bought gear like crazy. I am gonna have to stop now because I am buying a place with my new partner and cash is gonna be tight.

Still, I had one heluva lot of fun buying what I have now. Well worth the credit card debts!!

My Dual Rec was brand new - £1400. (which is about $1800) since that time the pound sterling has fallen like hell and these days you'd be hard put to find one for less than £2000. So I was lucky to get one when I did.

I've been at this for quite awhile. I spend about $3K-$4K a year in new gear. So, no big deal if you have an income or job and know how to save your money. In fact, I suggest that everyone should take a couple of college courses on finance and economics...or at least do some research. You don't have to make a ton of money per year to be able to afford nice gear. If you use your credit lines wisely, you can easily get what you need and not get stuck with debilitating debt. Just remember...you can't have it all.

Just my $.02.

Cheers!

I wrote down mostly what I actually paid for everything (sometimes +shipping). A lot of it is newly discounted because I have friends at a music store. Some stuff I scrounged around eBay and craigslist and got a lucky price. The les paul is at value because it's actually my father's who paid $450 for it in the mid 80's. Everything is between a 6/10 to 10/10 rating, and everything works 100%.

Next thing I'm looking to do is sell the LTD EX and get a Gibson Explorer.

May i just say its not how much your rig costs but what you,ve got and how well it sounds for what you want to play! Having said that if you play heavy rock or metal it sounds like you,ve got a kick *** rig for no matter what age you are! I yooshually load a fender tele or strat into a head and cab(boogie of course, check my sig) with the following pedal board up front into the amp....Boss bcb-60 pedal board with tu-12 tuner/ibanez ts-9/keeley modded ds-1 ultra/keeley modded ts-808/boss ce-3 chorus/boss dd-3 delay/boss rv-5 reverb.I,m not gonna say how much my rig cost but my board cost as much as one of my guitars or amps and maybe a good fx board is your next move to add to your rig although it is good as is lol Rock on dude.

Screw the house. You'll spend that a year on maintenance, taxes, and all that other junk.
