I've been running a stereo rig for years now until I picked up the V this week. I gotta admit my ears are struggling with the narrow sound field and not having the panned delays for solo work. I'm considering using a separate power amp to power the other side but that's getting me back to big rack, weight etc.

Are most of you running a mono rig? If not how are you setting up for stereo? Another V head is not possible  Are you splitting via a effects processor using the loop or running out of the slave? Every time I've tried to use the slave out I have problems with ground loops. Curious what your results have been.

I'm a huge Petrucci tone fan btw. That says it all as for my like for the stereo rig.

Your comments please :D

I started setting up a stereo rig last night... I'm using a Mark V and a Roadster in parallel. I split the signal with an Axess buffer, run into the front end of both amps, have a Glass Nexus "shared" between the two series effects loops, and am running out to a pair of 2x12's. Oh, and I'm using a Rocktron Patchmate/Midimate pair to handle the switching, since the combination of the Mark V and Roadster footswitches takes up a considerable amount of space.

I don't have it 100% dialed in yet, but I like where it's going. I'm hoping to get it finalized this weekend.

I have ran in stereo, and wet -dry-wet/splitting signal via Tc G System-its huge, and really fun (I like Lukather and Schon lead tones, and running the dynmic delay with this setup is dead on)..just at the house for sh*ts and giggles :)

I'm going to run the Mark IV with a horizontal rectifier 2x12 cab and my Mark V with my vertical 2x12. The tc electronics G force has separate jacks for left and right so I can split them for stereo. Now all that's left is figuring out how to get it all hooked up with the gcx ground control pro.

But, for the last weeks i've just been going mono and loving it so i'm not in any rush.

I just got rid of a Triaxis/2:90/Gforce set up for the Mark V. I am runnning a mono signal using two 2x12 cabs and I am very happy with it.

I have been running my mark IV stereo with a satellite for the last year or so with great results, but I just picked up a mark v and will run it stereo with my mark iv. Can not wait!!!!!!! I will be able to use six separate pre amp channels, switched via GCX switchers and through the power sections of each mark. Should be a very sweet rig.

I had a great night with my Mark V. Until this evening I had been playing thru a pair of recto 2x12 cabs. I bought these over a year ago for a RoadKing 2 rig and ended up not liking the RK so they sat. They are 100% new and not broken in at all. Very very harsh sounding to say the least. Tonight I went thru one of my recto 4x12's that I've been using sine 05 and man have I found the sweet spot. I found a tone in channel 2 with the Edge mode that just kills not to mention the obvious killer tones in channel 3. The C+ is very liquid. I'm honeymooning right now with the V but still this may be with me for a long time.

For you stereo guys running the IV with the V are you running into the return of one of the amps using it for power only?

Post your settings for that awesome EDGE tone you found!!

I havn't hooked mine up stereo yet because i've been so busy getting familiar with the V alone.

I run it in stereo via the slave out to the Eventide Eclipse to the 2 ninety to 2 2.12 recto cab.
The dry sound to the stiletto cab.
the result is...

Here you go....

Channel 2 Crunch Mode (I screwed up and didn't write down the settings before switching to crunch mode. This is where I'm at today)

This is sounding great for the big chordal stuff and cuts great for solo work as well. YMMV

Gain 4:00
Master 11:00
Presence 9:30
Treble 2:45
Mid 10:00
Bass 10:30

45 or 90 watt

Sliders off
Preset Depth 2:45

EBMM JP6 into Recto 4x12 STD
AXE-FX ULTRA in the loop for delay

I love running stereo. For years I have used a MKIIB with a MKIIC+. I recently sold my MKIIB, but I am planing on getting a MKV. I have had good success using a Fulltone stereo chorus and I plan on getting the new and improved model when it comes out.
