How do Thiele cabs sound mic'ed up & recorded?

I was wondering how these would sound. Does the port cause a problem?
Do people like the sound of the EVM 12L recorded? For clean tones or distorted?

I love the 12L mic'd both live and recorded and in both instances it's all about mic placement. And of course the soundman/engineer makes or breaks it.

So with a Thiele, would you use a close mic and another about a foot away to appreciate the port?
