Hey guys wats up,

Im having a pretty bad time figuring out how to hook up my Boss GT-10 to my Mesa Boogie Dual recto, I want to bypass the preamp and cabinet modeler on my GT10 I keep hearing about this four cable method but how exactly do you hook it up with the "four cable method" and Also want to know if theres a way that once the GT10 is hookep up to my mesa can i use it to switch the mesas channels with the GT10? THANKS ALOT GUYS I'll aprecciate any feedback.

I have a Gt-5 and to do the four cable method first plug the guitar into the input on the GT-10. then plug the output of the GT-10 into the effects return of the mesa. then from the loop send on the GT plug into the front of your amp. from the effects return plug into the effects send on your mesa.

essentially youre using the mesa preamp as your "loop pedal". then you can organize effects with the pedal order and put the mesa preamp whereever you want.

Im pretty sure theres a way to change channels with the GT-10 but as i said i only have a Gt-5 and that cant wswitch channels

I also have the BOSS GT-10. I have been having some major problems with it and would really appreciate some help. Here is what the issues are:

#1. 2 Cables into the effects loop. The only way it will work is 1 cable from the GT-10 output and 1 from the GT-10 input into the Mesa effects loop. When I do this the general effects work fine (delay, eq, flanger, chorus, etc.) but the OD effects and preamps chop 80% of my volume when activated and makes everything really fuzzy.

#2. 4 Cables as described above by lerxst88. Using this meathod the GT-10 works and sounds MUCH better, I can use all the preamps, OD, etc and they sound awesome. The issue with this though is none of my channels on the amp work - I can switch channels but channels 2-4 sound almost exactly like channel 1, there is no gain at all.

What am I doing wrong guys?!

Check out the Boss forum. They should be able to answer your questions.

Here's the link for the GT-10: http://www.bossgtcentral.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=157

Yep, head over to BossGTcentral forums and check out the stickied threads at the top of the GT-10 section. There should be a 4 cable method tutorial. Follow it step-by-step and you'll be AMAZED.
