Wow! That escalated quickly.

It wasn't how I intended to go about it, but the dealer said the one he just got in would be gone quick and he couldn't hold it. If he was to order another one it wouldn't be in until February because they are very popular and backordered so he says. Anyway, the deed is done, and I've gotta get my current amps sold ASAP! I'm stoked! Band practice tomorrow night should be more fun than usual... :D

Well, I made a call to a somewhat local Mesa dealer and they just got one in this week so I pulled the trigger already. It will be here tomorrow! Now I HAVE to sell my RoV and DC!!!!!

I knew it'd be all over once you actually played it...great choice...good luck on selling those amps

To fund the Mark V, I sold a Triple Rectifier and an '83 JCM800 2203. So far so good with the V. I'm loving the versatility, although I have yet to play it through my main cabs.

I must say though, the master volume seems to be lacking. On my Bogner, low volumes sound fantastic; the Mesa sounds a bit grainy and dull. No doubt the power section works hand in hand with the Mesa preamp, but still. I wish on the 10W mode I could get some better bedroom level sounds. Anyone else experience this?

Oddly enough I ended up using 10W, variac, no EQ on all channels at low volume last night and loved it...

You will be glad you took the plunge. Nicely done.

I have only had my V for going on 3 weeks. Got up early (5:am) today to practice a little B4 work. I love the amp and feel it is very sensitive to which guitar I use, Skully, JP6 w/Piezo, SG, Strat. The daily drill right now is to play for an hour and then take another hour to find settings using one guitar and write them down. I did sell my Fender Blues Deluxe and the JCM 900 combo may be on the block soon. Thinking of taking the GT75 speakers out and trying them in my closed back enclosure. This amp has the flexibility to keep me interested. I get bored with equipment and trade it. Don't think that will happen with the V. I am almost 50 but now practice like I did when KISS Alive I came out!! The thrill is back!!
