Being fairly new to the forum; I hope I'm not repeating a post; however, has anyone on here watched the "High Gain Amp Shootout" YouTube videos? I just happened upon them the other day while reading about James Lugo and I think it's a great series of vids.

The Mark V combo is in the third video and (yes, I'm biased, but...) I really think it's the best sounding one on the list. I watched the videos and there's also a link to just the audio files. The Mark V's settings in the video could be better; however, it still shows off it's tight, clean, awesome sound, only making me happier with the recent purchase. I genuinely believe Bruce Bouillet (of "Racer X" fame and the guy playing on the Mark V in the video) really "felt" what the amp was capable of. Make sure you watch the first vid' to have a complete understanding of how this whole process was done.

Never heard of that but thanks for posting it! It was nice to hear the Mark V in this even though I could just play the one I have here. :) I like near the end of the video where they guy is playing through it and turn around and says "WOW there's a whole lot of amp in there". Both keep smiling while talking about the Mark. I concur...

on sound click each amp is available for download (well the shoot out clips) pretty cool stuff

That guy is monster guitarist Bruce Bouillet. He's mostly known for his playing in Racer X (with the one and only Pablo Gilberto  ); however, I'm a huge fan of his work with post Racer X band "The Scream" with John Corabi on vocals. Their first album is at the top of my list.

It is definitely great to see them smiling about the amp. :D
