I did do the mod myself. The piping is stapled to the outside edge of the speaker grill. Take a look at my tutorial and you'll see how it works. http://acapella.harmony-central.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=15419386#post15419386

I knew there wouldn't be a lot of room to fit the piping in place, but with a little elbow grease it found its home nicely.
