I'm electrically challenged. Can anyone tell me what the silvery/grey box with the red checkmark is in this pic of my circuit board?

Its a pre-500 Recto, rev D that was made for the European market. Is it something peculiar to that revision? Something they all have? Something just on the Euros?

It's the choke, which is a like a transformer but with only one winding. It's part of the power supply, its purpose is to block AC 'ripple' and other noise. It's standard on all Mesa amps apart from a few of the low-powered models as far as I know.
