Put this up as it´s own thread.

Put the chinese 420´s in my MKIV and have about 10 hrs on them.
THis week I had volume loss on all channels, distortion on the clean channel.

So, put it on standby then switched it back on and got blue flashes in the tubes

Are they shot or what¿¿¿ THanks.

um lightning in a bottle¿¿¿

Would that happen spontanously¿¿

If you see more than a blueish purple glow when you come off standby the tube is probably shorted internally.
Any major lighting in the bottle is not generally good. At times when you start up on a bad tube you see major arcing
in the bottle, hence lighting.

Well, put the winged C´s back in, changed the v1, and still had the same problem.

But, I kept poking around, checked cables, straight in the front, no loop or pedals, swiched from class a and tweed to full and simul... and the problem went away!

It seems that in tweed and class a is when i start to have this problem, any ideas¿¿ suggestions¿¿
Just could be a dirty switch, I didn´t have a chance to clean it yet.

So...

Mick
