It's a 2005 Hamer Studio Custom TripleThreat
i'd like to say up front that i've always been kind of hamerphobic, but from that angle, man i would just sneak up on that guitar, grab it from behind and start wailing away at it.. ahem

Here is my Hamer:

V.jpg

1980 Hamer Vector with Phantom electronics. This guitar is a prototype for a model that never went into production. No serial #.

What I like about Hamer is that with the exception of a few guitars they did for Ed Roman (the a-hole) they don't do the staining process that many makers like PRS do to achieve their much vaunted tops. While those guitars do look good they also look the same from any angle. Because Hamer floats their colors over the first layer of clear coat you actually get to see the figure shift as you change your viewing angle. I verymuch prefer it.

Here are a couple more photos I just took. Sorry guys, this guitar is NOT for sale.

big and clear. In spite of its 3 coils it is a really clear sounding pickup.

The guitar is pretty much retired now but it gets pulled out now and again and still sounds great.

Perfect. Hangs just right and your right hand falls into a natural picking positition.

I've had several Les Pauls in the past and hated them. Thought I just disliked the 24.75" scale, but it turns out I just hate how the upper bout digs into the underside of my forearm. None of that with the Hamer Standard.

I have a Hamer Special Vintage.. it is beautiful.. the only thing that kills me is the fact that the neck is too thin...

I love the tone of the guitar...

I will post later..

Mine's VERY round (profile lifted from a '59 reissue) and took some getting used to but now I love the thing.
