Getting Mark V tomorrow!

Howdy guys/gals. I usually just lurk around here, but figured I'd introduce myself and share my good fortune. My name is Scott, been playing for around 10 years, like mostly anything rock (except from this horrible decade). I have been looking around for a Mark V everywhere, hoping to get lucky that a store would have one in stock that wasn't ordered for someone else. A dealer about 50 miles away from me got one in and I called up ASAP and put 1000 down and will be picking it up tomorrow.

I have been reading the threads on here, and also downloaded the manual. But I just wanted to see if you owners had any good advice, or any good instant gratification settings you liked. Anything important I should know?

Hey Scott7d. Let me be the first to welcome ya aboard!

I,m like you, still waiting, but not for long now. Sometime this week, at long last! (waiting since feb)

There are plenty of knowledgeable, nice guys on this board that already have theirs, who I,m certain will say howdy and chime in with tips, setting idea,s, etc.

Let us know how you like the amp after you get it and jam for awhile.

I,m looking forward to discovering all the tones and nuances in this amp myself.

turn every knob as far up as it will go and pull all knobs out....seriously, just spend hours finding your tone. You'll have to tweak for every channel anyway. Copy Petrucci and go from there.....
