I recently acquired a G&L F-100 Series II (circa 1982) from my girlfriends boss. He loaned it to me when my Les Paul was broken (cracked neck but its good to go now). It had a tremolo that was really loose and squirrely and was in serious need of a setup. At the time, it was more than I wanted to bother with so it sat in the case. After a few months I finally grew tired of tripping over it in my office. I asked my girlfriend to take it back to her boss and thank him for the loaner. Next day I go to pick her up and she's carrying the guitar. Apparently her boss decided to go full Buddhist simple style with his whole life and was in the process of giving away the majority of his worldly possessions. He told her I could keep it. Score! So I then set about fixing the intonation, taking off some of the corrosion on the hardware and adjusting the neck. A friend of mine over at http://www.floydupgrades.com hooked me up with a trem stopper and some heavy duty springs to neutralize the whammy bar. It's got a great sound and great feel. 2 passive coil-tapped humbuckers, phase switch, bass, treble and volume. Great guitar, I highly recommend picking it up if you happen upon one in a pawn shop somewhere. Some pics below, sorry about the crappy camera phone shots.
