As far as i was aware Triple Rectifiers came with 3 channels as default.

As shown here. (Note the controls and their layout)

This is the one advertised:- (again compare the control layout)

Seems like a debadged 2 channel Dual Recto to me, unless the triples came with the 2 channel layout with a switchable 3rd channel via footswitch?

Why would you debadge a mesa anyways?

You are misinformed. The Triples came out shortly after the Duals but still had 2 channels. They were made this way for several years until the change was made to 3 channels. The reason this is a deal is because you get a 4x12 added for the same price as just the head typically.

Gaz, there are older two channel triple rectifiers out there, just like the older two channel dual rectifiers. I would also figure the logo was removed for maybe an endorsement contract?

As there were once 2 channel dual rectifiers, there were also 2 channel triples....these were the older models. The newer ones, Dual and Triple, all have 3 channels.

As for debadging, maybe a sponsorship reason? Not supposed to be seen with the Mesa logo as he is being sponsored by someone else?

in Albany/El Cerrito? i called & the woman had changed her mind & raised the price to $700. After it sat for a couple of weeks i called back & she let me have it for $500!

It's pretty nice. i think it's a keeper.

Congrats! Yeah when I saw that up on CL I actually considered it for a bit but I already have too much crap. I would love to try one of those out sometime.

i haven't had a chance to turn it up yet, but even at "wife" volume, the tone comes through. Before i got my LSC, i was torn between it & the LSS, now i'm set. Funny thing though, the Maverick is less portable, having no wheels: it's a beast to carry.
The quality of these amps still impresses me. Randall is an American hero, imho.
