fully loaded mark III green stripe.
it just celebrated its 18th birthday a few weeks ago (according to the date on the filter cap board).

i traded my half back cab and some cash to my other guitar player for this.
so now hes got his loaded c+ -> 1/2 back 4x12 rig that hes always wanted, and i got his mark III that i've always wanted.
best of all, i can always just go to his house and jam out of the half back whenever i want cause i'm in a band with the dude :D

so now the questions... for the best tone at the lowest volumes, should i keep el34's in the outter sockets for class a opperation? or should i keep it all 6l6's?

Put in some KT66's if you want to know what a Mesa Can really do. And find your self some old RCA preamp tubes.

Congratulations . That amp is gorgeous . 8) !!!

Ditto on the RCA's , I went on a scavenger hunt thru a bunch of yard sale tube gear collected over the years , and **** , found those and a quartet of telefunkage ... tone wise its a close race . Don't know which I like better .
