F50 preamp tube suggestions

I just got a used F50 head. I put in a new pair of 6L6s but would also like to replace the preamp tubes. I usually go thru Dougstubes and follow his advice but wanted to ask here first. Have you found any special or magic combination of preamp tubes that really made the F series come alive or will any good set of preamp tubes work?

Definely get a Tung Sol 12AX7 for V1. Doug can set you straight with the other positions. With his customer feedback; he have the experience in what works best.
