Looking for F-30 and F-50 soundclips. I have found some F-50 clips that sound great but I have ZERO F-30 clips, and from what I've read the F-30 sound different than the F-50.

Can somebody help me out? Thanks!

Awesome! You rock! I'll keep checking back. :)

From what I've heard the F50 sounds really great on the "metal" clips that I have found. I'm hoping the F30 sounds equally as good and can do some classic rock crunch as well (i'm mostly into hard rock, classic rock stuff -- metal is fun though). If it can do that, then I'm all over the F30. I'm just afraid the F50 will be too loud for bedroom practice and noodling with recordings -- that's the only thing stopping me from scooping one up.

Thanks again, looking forward to the F30 clips!!!

theyre both too loud! hehe. the f30 is going to sound more marshall-ish
because its el84, where as the f50 is going to sound more like
a recto? ill have a clip for you soon.

You're right about the "loudness". From this post I read on another board 30 and 50 ain't much of difference in "loudness".

For those interested here's a snippet from amptone:

40 watts is 94% as loud as 50 watts.
30 watts is 86% as loud as 50 watts.
25 watts is 81% as loud as 50 watts.
22 watts is 78% as loud as 50 watts.
20 watts is 76% as loud as 50 watts.
18 watts is 74% as loud as 50 watts.
15 watts is 70% as loud as 50 watts.
12 watts is 65% as loud as 50 watts.
10 watts is 62% as loud as 50 watts.
9 watts is 60% as loud as 50 watts.
8 watts is 56% as loud as 50 watts.
7 watts is 55% as loud as 50 watts.
6 watts is 53% as loud as 50 watts.
5 watts is 50% as loud as 50 watts.
4 watts is 47% as loud as 50 watts.
3 watts is 43% as loud as 50 watts.
2 watts is 38% as loud as 50 watts.
1 watt is 31% as loud as 50 watts.
3/4 watt is 28% as loud as 50 watts.

Vulture2600, thanks for the time and effort you're putting into making those F30 clips. :) I REALLY appreciate it!!! :)!!!

How does the F30 sound at soft volumes? Does it get kind of weak in the tone department?

how would i post an mp3 on this site anyways? is there a site
like photobucket but for mp3's?
i gots one for yall if i can find a place to save it.

www.streamload.com will let you do up to 100mb dl per month free with mp3's with storage of up to 10gb.

ok so i signed up at the afformentioned website and i uploaded an mp3.
how do i set it up so you guys can download it?

there's a spot where you can email friends the link. just use that on there.
i'll see if i can't find a more permanent/unrestricted way of doing it for everyone here :D

Cool, if you need my e-mail to send it PM me! Can't you just post a link to the page with the mp3 on it?

I usuall use soundclick.com to host my mp3s. You'll have to register but you can just post the link to your band page once you upload the clips.

Can't wait to hear it!

WOW! Bloody nice tone!!

There's two songs this guy did with the F30. "Melody" and "classic blues". That is some sweet sounding stuff, man.

I think I'm sold on this amp.

Still want to hear your clip though Vulture!!

WOW! Great clip, man!! I really enjoyed that. Thanks for taking the time to make it. EXCELLENT playing!

How sensitive is the master volume on those amps? Can you get decent tones at like TV volume -- or is it pretty much, loud and louder. lol

thanks, im pretty proud of it my self.
thats actually the third version, i just redid all the guitars using my boogie.
even tho its only 30 watts, its pretty much loud or louder, specially if
you plan to record it.
i mic'ed the combo with a 609 and ran my 4x12 at 16 ohms
which makes it sound much more tight and compressed and used a
octavia mk319 45 degrees off axis about 3 inches away. HUGE!!!
ill post more later of me just straight in with nothing else so you can really
hear the guitar tones

nice post. This is not a very well known fact. Its also the reason I opted for a single recto over its "bigger" brothers.

Also, this is true provided all things being equal (amp design, settings, and everything in the sound chain.)

back to the subject,
yes the 30 is plenty loud. Its probably going to be the one that you want.
It will excell over the 50 for bedroom playing EASILY. I also think the voicing is going to be more to your liking if you are into classic rock. Thats not to say the 50 cant do it, but as vulture mentioned, the EL84s in the 30 are going to get you more bite and crunch.

but what do I know, I got an F-100 and I play metal

Sorry but I'm not buying the below chart. There is NO WAY a 10 watt amp is 62% as loud as a 50 watt. And a 1/2 watt 25% as loud...sorry but someone at amptone had a hard night of partying before posting that info (no reflection on you frogger!!). My 50 watt ROV will make your ears bleed if you stand in front of it.

Dude, you don't need a band! lol That was sweet!

One thing that has me a little worried about this amp is the volume issue. I mostly noodle around in the bedroom and occasionally record. I've already damaged my hearing a little and I'd hate to do more damage. I want a boogie but it's gotta be able to get satisfying tones at low levels.

I dunno if that's possible with the F-30. From what you guys have said it doesn't sound like it. :\ But I want to believe it is! lol

Vulture, I would still LOVE to hear that F-30 w/o backing tracks. Just pure amp tone. Hey, this is probably a stupid request but a clip of it at low volumes might help me pull the trigger on one of these as well.
