Export Transformers

Does not having an export transformer really that much of an issue if you live in a county that uses 220v?
Is it just a matter of using a step down transformer for use with 220v countries?

Just curious how they handle the power requirements in regard to using products that are rated at 117v.

No I have a simul Sat and and mark 3 that I use with step down trannys and I have had no problems at all
