Dumb Rookie Question

Okay, I have a Series I Stiletto Trident (as some of you know) and I'm trying to figure out how to get the early Van Halen sound out of it. Platypus helped me out quite a bit with the settings (thanks Plat!) but here's the rookie question. If you had my setup and wanted to play many of the songs Eddie used Flange effects for, would you buy a separate effects pedal? The reason I ask is that many people have said they don't need pedals, etc. but I don't see a way around it for unique sounds like Flanging and a Wah pedal for some of Slash's stuff. Can someone help a rookie out? :lol:

Definitely! I'd likely get one of the MXR Pedals w/ the EVH graphics! And maybe the Slash series Dunlop Wah! You'd be covered there! :wink:

Yeah an MXR Phase 90 and a wah will get you pretty far!
