Dual Rectifier color

The first thing I noticed when I bought my amp a few months ago was that it had a gray outer casing instead of black. Never before have I seen one like that. It doesn't look like some homemade paint job, either. It doesn't bother me in the least bit, I'm just curious if anyone knows if any other dual rectifiers came in that color and why.

Most likely it was a custom order when bought new. You can custom order them in a multitude of custom tolex or exotic hardwoods.
